CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE (Nov. 18, 2019) -- Rebuilding Together Chattanooga will hold its first neighbors-helping-neighbors project at a home on Old Mountain Road in the St. Elmo neighborhood on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
“Rebuilding Together Chattanooga believes every person should be given the opportunity to live, learn, work, thrive, and age in a safe and healthy place,” said Cal Boroughs, chair of Rebuilding Together Chattanooga. Focused on making homes safer, healthier, more accessible and more energy efficient, Rebuilding Together Chattanooga will use local volunteers to make various free repairs to the Old Mountain Road home, including installing new smoke detectors, replacing a toilet, fixing windows, adding handrails, and more. Rebuilding Together Chattanooga is dedicated to preserving affordable homeownership and revitalizing communities through free home repairs and modifications for neighbors in need.
